How can I hear my synthesizer through the mic-input, but not through the Line-1 input?
Basically sais it. In my maschine software I have set the audio in on the line 1, and I can see that the midi messages I play on the maschine are showing up on the synthesizer. In the section Sound, I have my audio source set to Line in 1. Even with sampling and monitor on it does not give any sound. Please help.

Not enough data to get an answer.
Please provide detailed info about your operating system and your audio/midi devices.
If you can include some screen shots, even better.0 -
I'm using windows 11 on a laptop, a maschine mk3, and a roland S1. When I put in the S1 in the mic-in port I can hear it and play it, but it has a lot of noise. So I want to use the line 1 port.

When I crank up the volume of my headphones I can barely hear it though
So now I have to bump up the volume to the maximum?

I get audio now, but still there is some noise, does this mean that my audio cable is bad?

No offense dude, but you have spend a good amount of money to get 2 very good devices, while you forgot the very basic foundation of your studio (no matter if you are a hobbyist or a pro).
A decent audio card! If you are serious about your music (even in a "home" level) using the Windows default audio chips is the worst thing you can do. Even a 70 euro cheap second hand device it is much-much-much better choice! 😉
In your example (audio from MK3 ASIO send to your whatever laptop input), it is like you are trying to control a spaceship with a hammer and a screwdriver (it might sound a bit of dramatic example but it is not far from truth)…
It is not your cable… it is the low quality of the laptop's integrated audio chip… they are made for basic computer audio needs, they are not made for music…

The Roland S1 has a stereo line output. You should be plugging it into a stereo line input.
A mic input is not only the wrong signal level, but it's mono.
Also, the Aira Compact range has class compliant USB audio, so you should be able to connect it via USB and select it as an audio interface (in).
Basically, read the manuals. Learn how to use your stuff! 😁

Note that:
"The MASCHINE MK3's audio interface's Mic in and Line inputs cannot be used simultaneously. When you connect a microphone, the Line inputs are automatically turned off."
The article says "used simultaneously" imo it should say connected, as the term implies the user could be trying to record both.
