How can I get rid of clicking/popping in the Apricot preset in Form?
I'm using the Apricot preset in the Form synth within Reaktor, and I'm getting this heavy clicking/popping when I play a note. If it helps, the note I am playing is at E2, but it happens at almost any key I play. I've already made a whole song with this synth as the main bass. I didn't notice until I was about to post my track, that there is a loud clicking sound. If you click on the "sound" tab, and turn the amp all the way down, the clicking becomes super obvious. I feel like I have adjusted every parameter, and I can't seem to eliminate the clicking sound. Any ideas, or am I just going to have to trash this sound and pick a different one?
I'm attaching the sound, so you can hear what I'm talking about.

I am really convinced this is just part of the sound, this is not the kind of click you get with glitches.
Fully agree. I just listened to the original example, and it doesn't sound like some sort of issue, it sounds like an intentional musical effect. It's not even in the glitch ballpark IMO ;)
I don't have form so can't comment on the patch - just that it sounds 'right' to me!

Do you know the Windows Tuning Tips for Audio or are you on a Mac?

As FORM was new I converted all presets to snapshots
A test with the bass sound Apricot gives no crackle or clicks. Here is the snapshot bank of all basses for you.
If you want the others as snapshots use the first link.

Pretty sure it has nothing to do with audio tuning tips yes, specially if you have those clicks in a very predictable way and only on some sounds. Reaktor can get clicky easily with restarting phase, envelope, note stealing etc. but made by NI they usually do a good job of controlling that.
Listening to your demos here i really think it's part of the sound, the click is low, punchy.
I guess you'd have to understand the structure of the sound a little and try to modify it.
I'd be curious to try but i don't have Form,i wonder what the demo limitations are.

@Paule I loaded up your snapshot bank, still have the same problem with the sound. If you click on the sound tab, after loading up Apricot in Form, and the "Amp" knob next to "Formant Track," and turn it all the way to the left, you will hear a distinct clicking sound. I hear it in my car, on my phone, on my studio monitors, and my studio headphones.

@KoaN you might be right, it might be apart of the sound, and that is kind of my fear. I think the sound is great, but that clicking/popping sound sounds terrible to me. I was able to use RX 8 "De-click" on the audio file, and it sounds better, and I got rid of most of the clicking, but now the bass isn't as punchy, and sounds more distant. It isn't really ideal, it sounds like I recorded it on my phone at a concert.

I would not call it heavy clicking... At least on Win system. If you are on M1 family chip, Reaktor might run, so, so. Do you have possibility to try it on Win?
It seems to me, it is not at the start of the note, but at the end, if the note is "propper" lenght. And not otherwise...

It seems to be caused by discontinuities in the motion curve causing the read position to jump all over the place. I think this is probably unavoidable; unless you use a simpler curve.

@Big Gnome That is kind of what I figured, because I fiddled with almost every parameter, and I couldn’t get rid of it. I did try using RX 8 De-Click, and I was able to strip it of the clicks, but it took all the punch out of the bass.

Was tired the other and spent ages to figure where those clicks where coming forming and my side chain settings where wrong . I figured when I had no frequency displayed on my analyzer at click frequency range. I increased the attack and it came back fine , then I felt so stupid after 15 years of production I just needed a good night of 😴 . I use a lot abricot preset as well it is a nice plucky low mid lead and never had this issue with the preset itself. Might come from somewhere else in the chain

It's low and punchy,i think it sounds fine on the full sound.
And for sure you will loose all punch if you eliminate it completely, the punch IS a fast attack, abrupt change in amplitude.
If changing the parameters in Form is not working you could use RX8 to isolate the click, have 2 files...only the click and the audio without the click,in RX8 you have an option to only hear the click. This way you can then only treat the click, you could try a lowpass, comp,eq some plugin that has an slew, smoothing the attack and then you combine it back with the audio that is without the click.
I did that once,it gives you more control on the click itself without altering the rest.
