Need to get Guitar Rig version 5.
I need to solve a rather serious problem. I have been a Native Instruments user for years. One of the plugins I use the most is Guitar Rig. I started using it with version 5 and, although I also had version 6 installed simultaneously, as part of Komplete 14 Standard, I have continued to use version 5 for convenience until now. The problem has arisen with the latest equipment upgrade I have done in my studio. I have replaced the main machine with a new computer, and therefore reinstalled all the software, but version 5 of Guitar Rig is no longer available. That makes impossible to me to listen my old sessions. There are many of them and they are very important. Could you please help me find a solution for this problem? I am happy to upgrade to Guitar Rig 6 (I will soon upgrade to 7, along with Komplete 15), but I really need to be able to open and listen to my sessions recorded with Guitar Rig 5 as I record them at the time.

Your post gives the impression that you have a Guitar Rig 5 license , so in Native Access then try activating "Show discontinued products" under "Legacy Products" in the Preferences .
It is possible that Native Access 2 (only 2 by name is now version 3.14) can not activate GR 5 and you need N.A. 1 for that. On that note then please notice that N.A. 1 is EOL and as far as I know then can not be used anymore from some time next spring 2025 , so if you get it all to run then you might want to back up it all.
You ask questions but does not state exact OS version which makes it all even more difficult to answer to but here are some links to installers :
Native Access Legacy Installers for Older Operating Systems
Also some of the old legacy OS here has got Guitar Rig 5 installers : Compatibility of Native Instruments Products on mac OS , else you can also ask N.I. Native Access and Installation Support if you can not get it to show up in Native Access.

Hello,
Maybe you have to start your DAW in rosetta mode.

Hi, @PoorFellow, and thanks for your quick reply. I finally managed to download Native Access 1 (NA 1.14.1.156, exactly), and install and authorize Guitar Rig 5. Now the problem I have is that ProTools does not load it. It does not appear among the available plugins. I have tried to start ProTools in rosetta mode, but it cracks on startup.
Another option that could be good would be to rescue my old computer to open my Guitar Rig 5 sessions and save the presets and then convert them to Guitar Rig 6 format, so I would be able adapt my old sessions to my new computer. Do you know if is there a way to do this?
Thank you very much again.
This is my actual setup:
Mac Studio M2 Ultra
MacOS 14.7.1
ProTools 2024.6.0

You can import all your GR5 presets to GR6. If you find a duplicate then always keep the GR6 version
How to Import Presets into GUITAR RIG
- Open the stand-alone version of GUITAR RIG PRO.
- Open File > Import...
- Navigate to the folder where you stored the preset. Select it and press Open. ...
- After importing the preset, you will find it in the User Presets area of the GUITAR RIG PRO browser.

For some reason then some people have two "Plug-Ins" folders. One in the "Library > Application Support > Avid >Audio" directory, and one in the "Mac HD > Applications" folder. Please check that that is not the problem , if it is then copy the aax plugin from one to the other.
