No-name apps, & Invalid Invalid Path errors - anything else to try?

I've been trying to fix this, trying numerous suggestions provided on this forum & elsewhere. Yes, I deleted that folder & reloaded Native Access. I even de-installed EVERYTHING at the Windows level and reinstalled, only to find myself back in the same spot as before. (Though many more libraries mysteriously showed up after taking these actions, the 2 initial problems remained…)

I'm on Windows10, and I use NTFS. I've deactivated my malware app. I've tried everything using default paths. I do use an internal expansion drive, as my C: drive is nearly full.

Most apps install fine. But there are some holdouts… The two symptoms are:

  • Two apps have no name, & won't install, they say "Installation Failed: Invalid Location". But all the locations are proper. I don't know what the apps are, actually…
  • Abbey Roads Drums says the path to the content is invalid, though it's quite valid & used for all the other apps.

Screenshots below. Also included are the notes from the daemon.log, which I hope will help the devs, if appropriate to escalate.

Sure feels like an app issue with Native Access. I'll be honest, I have no idea whether I have access to everything in the bundle I purchased…

    Hello Friend,

Can you please provide a listing of all the apps/programs you have issues with?

There are certain Legacy NI apps that don't like to play nice with Native Access and will continue to show as 'ready for download'

    Hi,

Believe I have the same issue.

Is it possibly software that hasn't been purchased? Not sure what the app is but I have attached below.

Guys just ignore the "no name" apps, it is a Native Access bug. I also have this issue. Developers are aware of this and, hopefully, it will be fixed on next update. By the way, the "no name" apps are Reaktor 5 and Kontakt 5, you don't need them anyway.

Thanks, that's helpful to know I can ignore those.

But what about the Abbey Roads Drums issue?

At the moment I'm just trying to install up Kontakt Select 13, Guitar Rig 5 & 7.

    Nothing legacy.

You're saying the path is supposed to be F:\NativeInstrumentsContent?

    (rather than F:\Native Instruments\Content)

Yes. Works for all other NI content.

As noted above, my C: drive is approaching full.

Just to be absolutely certain, you have a folder on your F: drive called NativeInstrumentsContent?

Yes, as shown in the pic above that shows all the other NI content within it.

I notice that Abbey Road 60s Drums Vintage is NOT in that folder, so the path is invalid.

Thanks for the responses, it's appreciated.

Understood. But how do I install it into that folder? There is no (and has never been) a install or reinstall option. Only a "Locate".

Pic attached with the options I have.

What happens when you select the reinstall option as shown below?

The only other thing is you can search through your file system to find where it's actually located and either point to it or simply copy the whole directory to the location where Native Instruments thinks it is.

    Close Native Access.

Find your Abbey Road folder manually, by checking your disc.

Move it (cut/paste, not copy) to your NativeInstrumentsContent folder.

Open Native Access, click "Locate" and point it to the new folder
