Does the Maschine MK2 controller work on the new Maschine 3 software?

Nope.

Maschine 3 can function without hardware but it integrates with the following controllers:
Maschine MK3, Maschine Micro MK3, Maschine Studio, and Maschine+ (in controller mode).
It also works with Komplete Kontrol MK2 and MK3 Controllers.

I guess you can use your MK2 as a typical, standard Midi controller for some functions (without integration) but i can not guarantee this.
