    Hi Chris,

first i want to thank you for all the information. Second i´m a bit pissed. Why is NI partnering with Akai first and some products working natively on a MPC but nit on the Maschine Plus? Should we by a MPC, to get better performing and more options? Should i sell my NI products including Maschine Plus and get an MPC instead? Why your not taking first your own users and Hardware experiences, a step ahead, before you get it work on 3rd Party Hardware? The next thing is, when i by a MPC i have to pay a second time for the same Expansions/Instruments and Effects i allready own. Why? Sorry, for the drastic statement but why you go this Strategy? And at least, the last Update of Maschine Plus is one year ahead. I think we wait long enough, you have the time to innovate and cooparate with Akai but not the time to get an long awaited Update working on your own Product. For me Personal i cant understand whats happend with this company.

OK, just to reiterate, M+ and Maschine desktop are incapable of running even cut down versions of the Play series natively, MPC has features that M+ and Maschine desktop do not, so it is capable of doing so.

Why should any sample bank provider (NI) limit themselves by not selling Play series on another platform, just because M+ is incapable of running it? (Maschine desktop can obviously do it by using Kontakt 8)

There is so much nonsense in this thread, there will never be a cutdown version of Kontakt 8 that runs on M+, Reaktor is basically in Maintenance mode.

Maschines sampler is fine as it is, no it isn't, aside from the bugs, it lacks some absolute basics in 2025, but again, one mans basics is another mans "I don't need it"

Lets simplify all of this and give two options, then lets see where your opinion lies.

    1. NI needs money to keep operating, but sticks with their current business plan, slow updates for Maschine.
    2. NI needs money to keep operating, diversifies on to MPC, able to do small updates for Maschine.

Note, I am not saying that that is the case here, but given those two options, which is more useful?

NI are a business, not your brother, not your mom, not even your friend, you are a revenue stream, and when that revenue stream dries up, so do updates, that is the nature of ANY business.

MPC can’t run Play instruments “natively”

Oh man, I just realized what’s written here:

'To answer this thread specifically, we are almost ready to release the next Maschine+ OS to beta, which includes the Maschine stability fixes we talked about for Maschine 2 (including the kernel update).'

Looks like we might have to wait another month or even longer… It's honestly quite difficult to accept such delays.

    😔

Maybe @Chris_NI already can be more specific about the expected start date of this Beta…?

There is so much nonsense in this thread

You can say that again (but please don't). 😃

By the way, it seems a legendary band has heard of the ongoing "soon" situation and is re-releasing one of their songs:

Yes, but a beta phase typically lasts at least a month or longer. Based on that, we can assume this update won't be released until the end of winter…
