Let me address the one question that i can officially answer :)

Currently you can only use one Z1 MK2 within Traktor but we are already looking into making two units available so you can build a small 4 channel setup with two units.

It is a class compliant device so the audio interface works and it also sends MIDI to an iOS device. But it will not work with Traktor DJ on iOS.

Hope this answers your question :)

@kris66 USB C are much more likely to break too. Have you ever broken or had a USB B slip out? Nope. I just get quality USB-B to USB-C cables, they cost buttons. It's just a cable… why so angry?

I love the mapping of stems and how that's been done, also the approach to the filter effects.
I realise it's off topic, but that looks tailor made to the X1Mk3, excuse my ignorance but I'm not aware we can map it like that on the X1, but it seems like a no brainer and would make the X1 kick even more ass than it does already. Is there a solution to this and if so, can somebody point me to the article/ video explaining how to do it please?

Love the way you've integrated stems to the Z1. I can't help but feel the X1 mk3 is perfect for this use case too, but I haven't seen anything showing how to map it in that way. I realise it's off topic, but is it possible to map the X1 mk3 to control stems in the same way? If this exists already, please excuse my ignorance. ANy links to details would be super helpful please.

PS - The ability to like the Z1 to another Z1 (as you say you're looking into) would be great, but even better would be if you could also link it in the same way to a Z2 so we have 4 physical channels/ volumes. i.e., an option to go with either 2*Z1 or Z1+Z2 would be awesome. That way, whether you have a z1 or z2 you can add a secondary one. It would really enhance my ability to use my X1 with my vinyl decks I use with the Z2.

Appreciate (all of) these messages, sir. I' trying desperately not to read too much in-between the lines in your posts!!! 😉 I think you've hinted at plenty in there, though…

    Hi MichaelK_NI,

Thank you for the quick reply. It's good to know that you guys thought about making the new Z1 a 4-channel device. Combining the two definitely makes it a more appealing proposition.

I know that you people can't talk about new devices, but I think it's best for me as a user to be as vocal as possible and hope that many users share my views on which type of products would suit our use, and relay them to you for discussion.

All in all, I hope this is one of the many new products to come, and wish you guys luck in future endeavors.
Thanks for the steady Traktor updates and bugfixes :D

Question: Will two X1 MK2 combined be able to control all 4 Traktor 4pro Descs?

There is only Z1Mk1 (aka Z1) and Z1MK2. There is no Z1Mk3.

Yep, I use the X1 MK3 to take in the USB for my CDJ3000s and it's been great to just go straight into one Thunderbolt 4 port on my laptop.

The never, ever want to go back to the 4-5 year period I spent using a powered USB hub for CDJs, X1, K2 etc into a USB 3.0 port. Constant and persistent issues and a lack of USB bandwidth.

    I agree.

The option should be there with a new mapping layer for X1 MK3.
The ability to choose how many and which mapping layers for the X1, would be helpful too.

If we have a Z1 MK2 and an X1 MK3 being used at once, then there is no longer a need for the Mixer layer of the X1. It can then become FX or Stems.
Also, if two X1 MK3s are plugged into one system, then disabling C/D mode automatically.

The layer button is there now, it's time it was incorporated in a modular way and supporter officially so the new screens are utilised in multiple ways.

    Two questions:
How many duty cycles is the cross fader rated for?
When will we see teh Z2 MK2?

Hi. The dim state is far too dim on X1 MK3. Also, I feel there doesn't need to be one for Hotcues. When DJing, you really just want to be able to glance and see if you've got a cue somewhere you want to use and in most cases you know where it is, so you're just locating the button. It just needs to be lit if it's set rather than lit dimly until you press it, at which point you won't need to see it or won't be able to see it.

I find this is an issue for me on the S2 mk3 as well even though the pads are white and you can see the dim state slightly better.

To clarify, it's workable as it is in a dark DJ booth, but it's hard when playing day time gigs, weddings in brighter venues, generally brighter venues which aren't clubs etc.
