Are Maschine discontinued ?

Plot twist: Maschine+ is actually Maschine Mk4 and the 3.0 software is four years late.

But people are confused. If you listed all products with their current status, it would be much clearer. Just look at the outburst of same questions since the announcement.
Do you know the paper Extreme Clarity: why it matters and how to practice it by Simon Cross?

i hope NI releases a reasonable Maschine Mikro MK4 then… MK3 was a big step down from Mk2 (especially regarding the screen), so i just had to stay with MK2. Upgrading to Maschine would be overkill for my usecase.
also it would be nice to have the possibilty to just buy the controller for less, as i already have the Maschine software.

Touché. I agree

WIth the recent announcement of the EOL for mk1, mk2 etc they also stated the MK3 and M+ are the current generation. I don't see why everybody wants a new piece of hardware personally, they've used almost every available space for all the additional features/buttons of the MK3. I guess maybe some people want a touch screen, but I'm personally not sweating that.2 -
The latest gen is always the current gen, regardless of official statement's, is it not?
Who's "Everybody" ? Some do, some do not. My impression is that at least the most active users here are more worried about the software that powers the controllers/standalone to be better than having a new pretty HW… But there will always be people that want the "new" regardless of it if brings significant improvements or not.
With hat said theres always room for improvement, change in design direction, ergonomics, new architecture to allows more features, etc… The Studio was huge, then it got downsized with the MK3, who knows if next one will be bigger again or downsize/simplify even more. Ableton just released a tiny version of Push 2/3 and AKAI is rumoured to release a MINI MPC soon.
One thing is for sure, whatever comes next will have the big screen that the KKS-MK3 has but dont count on no touch screen, thats for MK5 and Maschine SW V4…. 🤣

I see the Studio and Jam mentioned in the FAQ now. Thank you 😊

Need to go look at that I think. And maybe pass it on to a few people at work 🤣

I am not sure that S.C. read what he wrote himself (he usually completely ignores me) but for what it's worth and since that it has been referred to more times now in this thread then I found a text version of the Communicating with Extreme Clarity (Simon Cross Nov 02, 2022) here at the simoncross.com Tradeoffs and Payoffs section .
Also , quote Simon Cross at Linkedin :
I'm told communication is one of my strengths - but it's been a strength hard-won.
I’ve learned the hard way - through many exec and product reviews at Meta - how to be super clear, even (especially!) when things are complex.
While several folks at Meta have written about Extreme Clarity both internally and externally, here's my take on what it means, why it matters, and how to practice it.0 -
On that note then if you don't know already then (appears as if while working at Meta) Simon Cross also wrote this : On Developer Documentation

Certainly many people posting issues here could do with reading that before they post!
Not just here either, but in general around the internet on similar forums, social media etc. 😀

Sooooo. We gonna not discuss' and bash the same Maschine users that been speaking all these points during the 15 yrs! Because its OVER in 15yrs?
I spoke on HW and SW since I joined Maschine "gang". I knew this would be a "thing" cause WE never "gang" NI on HW and SW. Its always someone on "defense" like every thought put in a post is "hate".
If you been around since 10-12 you know Maschine SW wouldn't "operate" w/o the Maschine HW. You couldn't just use "generic" midi controller with SW like its FL or Ableton. 🙄….What is 3.0? just a "open" SW and we dont "need" NI HW?
v1.8 with HW in Mikro MK2, had to be upgraded to 2.0 SW…..2013-2024 now we got buy 3.0…thats 10 yrs alone.
I seen something referred to "repairs" and "outside help" with HW. MPC Stuff only place I seen any compatible "warranty" breaking situations. I never got reference or hint, like "hit NI for some fresh buttons".
Its a cool thing, though I want see future improvements, And tired of thinking about when, and now WE ALL KNOW……But NI didn't have to "DOG WALK" us just to flagship Maschine+ and Komplete Kontrol MK3 and push NI SW and partners.

What Mk4 announcement? LOL

I owned the Mk2 as my first full size Maschine controller and the Mk3 screens, to me, are light years better then the Mk2 screens.

They're probably referring to the mikros
