Save Settings för Fingerdrumming Hit Order and Choke

Hallo, I'm totally beginner and cannot find where to save the order of Hi-hats I changed on my pads and where to save the settings for the Hi-hat choke group I just made. I'm sure there must be a save possibility so that I don't have to do the settings every time, but cannot find it.

You cannot save these settings globally. They are part of the Group settings. You have to adjust them for each Group, and save the Group with Save As to your User Library.

I find that saving groups doesn't remember my choke group settings. But saving project templates does.

I reported this issue to NI support in October 2023 and it was registered with id MAS2-29457. Will it ever be fixed? I'm utterly pessimistic in this regard…

Unfortunately these settings are not saved with Group on M+

Maybe such option is present in desktop software, but not on M+. Pressing SHIFT on this screen doesnt reveal any additional settings either

    …when loading the Group… which I didn’t remember, sorry.

    M+ Manual page 74:

    8.6.5. Loading Groups with Routing
When the file type Groups is selected, the +ROUTING button. When the +ROUTING button is activated the audio and MIDI routings stored in the Group are also loaded, potentially overwriting previous routings in the selected Group. When the +ROUTING button is off, any audio and MIDI routings saved in the Group will not be loaded, thus preserving any existing routings in the active Group.

If this works for Link/Choke, it could actually be a workaround for the original request.

@ozon Thanks for the reminder, its actually works as described in manual.

On the one hand it looks logical to have such option at the load Group stage, but on the other its totally counter-intuitive and impossible to use without exact knowledge :-) So i spent about half an hour today while trying saving/loading chokes and still wasnt able to find this option.

    😅

Yeah, I always get confused about this as well. Even to the point of submitting a bug report to which the team responded with „works as designed- just RTFM“ (naturally in very kind words) 😅

`I just haven't been bothered enough by this enough to see what the manual had to say about it, but thanks again @ozon, this will certainly save me some work when working with the sampled kits I was talking about in that other thread lol.
