Running OS 10.10, Native Access tries to upgrade on launch

Trying to use a Spitfire library that requires Player 5.6.8+. Downloaded Native Access 1.5.1 and Kontact Player 5.7.3 for OS 10.10 from NI’s site.

Upon launch, NA tries to upgrade to a newer version and won’t do anything else. Everything on the site says these versions work normally in 10.10.

What can I do?

Hi @musicbymicah did you manage to solve the issue with Native Access? If the error you got is about the latest update, can you try following the steps on this page here?

@Kaiwan_NI thank you for the link. I’m gonna take a look at the machine when I get a chance; the issue is we’re having this issue on Mac, so you’re suggesting there’s a security feature preventing an necessary update to Native Access and that I should boot in Safe Mode to allow the update?

@musicbymicah If you're using Mac, this article is probably better, but yes usually it's usually firewall etc that blocks Native Access from working properly. On another note, we've just released a new version of Native Access: https://www.native-instruments.com/en/specials/native-access-2

Can you let us know if the problem persists?
