Am I the only one who think beat grids are way harder to deal with in v4?

I don't know what it is but version 4 is a total pain to get good beat grids in. First of all, literally every auto-loaded grid for my tracks are not right and resetting the grid never resolves it when that works 80% of the time in v3. And then when I try to make a grid manually it rarely works because it is like there's a latency where the click is off.

I have a gig in a couple weeks and thinking I'm going to roll back to 3 because of this. Really dumb

    Same situation here!

…i just dont get it , how i even can have 1st beat back after removing a original (but wrong) one?
    - i have analyzed track again, but if i just try to add new first beat with traktor, i can see beat marker on right place, but it wont show at all on my kontrol s8 as a "white" button" so i cant use it..???

Do you have a song that analyzes in tp3 fine, but not in tp4?

As far as I know the beat detection system did not change. It "should" ™️ be the same. Only now you can set more then one grid zones, which can only be done by hand.

I have noticed there can be significant differences in the grid detection algorithm in TP4. I didn't have issues during the Beta with the songs I was testing with, but since then, I've noticed quite a few grid analyses are off. Don't laugh (please!) but I had to grid "Shania Twain - Man I Feel Like Woman" at a recent wedding and it made a right mess of it. TP3 was fine, so something is different…

Agreed, I have noticed it as well. Ive had to adjust how I analyze tracks. The 1st grid marker button in grid no longer seems to work. However, and I cant find where the setting is, i remember when they made it so grid markers have a "hide" setting, you could turn them back on. But I cant find the setting anymore. It used to be in Analyze Options, there used to be a setting called Hide grid marker. Now that setting is gone.

Ok now that I fooled around with it for a while I have noticed some things… Still no option to hide or show the grid markers BUT…

Ive found that if I have a track that is detected incorrectly after analyzation, I can click the first grid/hot cue and delete it. still has the incorrect BPM. Delete ALL grid marks by going to Grid and spam the trash can till the grid disappears. Now i can cue the track, set the grid marker and it shows. This only works in the grid section.

I hope that makes sense. Kinda preferred the old way, but this works too… I think it has to do with how the variable beat grids work. And maybe this is for the best, hard to tell.

Sorry above by "incorrect BPM" above i mean "Incorrect grid".

If you have multiple grid markers, it means you set them there. Tp4 does not set multiple on its own.

I just tried it. TP3 vs TP4. Both detect 125 and are identical.

    TP3

    TP4

With a click track it also sounds like the grid is on point? But I'm not good with that type og genre.

Anyone got a track that analyses different from tp3 to tp4 please let me know. But please verify yourself first :)
