Using Maschine Mikro with PT?

maschine mikro mk2 vs 2.7.10

imac 2013 OS 10.14.6, Pro Tools free

mac book pro 2006 OS 10.5.8, pro tools 8

I have logic pro x on the imac as well.. maschine shows up there, but alas… i don’t know logic at this time.

I just have not been able to find a straightforward answer to this question…. is there anyway I can use the machine mikro on either of my two macs? (mikro mk2.. i don’t see a tag for just that below..)

That is correct, the free version of Pro Tools doesn't let you use 3rd party plug-ins, ours included.

Hey Charles, what are you trying to achieve exactly ? Can you load a Maschine plug-in in Pro Tools ? Then, the Mikro MK2 should control the said plug-in. Isn't it the case ?

The aax plug in is the the pro tools plug ins folder.. but maschine doesn’t show up in a pro tools first session.. it’s not available in inserts… I’m thinking this is a limitation with pro tools first, the free version?
