Traktor license for KONTROL S3

Let me start by saying that I am new to the traktor world. I have always used other software.

What I wanted to ask you is that I would like to buy a second hand KONTROL S3 controller, my question is whether I have to make sure that the user gives me the license or not? He tells me that with traktor 4 Pro it works correctly without having to enter any license. Can this be the case or do I have to have a license supplied/transferred?

If he can't transfer it to me, can't I use Traktor? I hope you can help me, to give an answer to the person who would sell it to me

When you purchase a second hand device the license should be transfered to you, the device will work if the license is still not transfered but you will have to buy the software on your behalf.
