Audio A6 Is compatible with Traktor Pro 4?
Hi, I have a Mac Mini M2 2023 with Ventura 13.2.1, Traktor A6 sound card, Mixars Quattro and Numark ndx 800 cdj.
Traktor scratch pro 2 no longer works with the new apple m2 chips and I should upgrade to pro 4.
In this regard I ask you a few things:
- Can I still use the A6 sound card or do I have to buy a new one?
- Does the A6 only work with Traktor or can it be used (together with the timecode cd) with other DAWs?
- If I don't open any DAW the A6 sound card only receives the input signal from the cdj (the led lights up) but does not send any output signal to the mixer channel, right?
- In my Native Access I don't see Traktor pro 4 but if I enter from the browser I see the update, is this normal?
Thanks.

1.) Traktor Audio 6 is class compliant and works on macOS without special drivers out of the box. Therefore yes, you can continue using it.
2.) As class compliant audio interface it will work with any application that supports multichannel audio devices - this contains most DAWs (maybe all but not sure if some DAW limits itself). You can also use it as audio input/output in macOS itself if you desire.
3.) Not sure about that but if I remember correctly there was a way to configure it.
4.) As it looks on your screenshots you haven't purchased the upgrade to Traktor Pro 4 yet. Then this is totally normal. Traktor (Scratch) Pro 2 isn't listed in Native Access because it isn't compatible with macOS 13. Native Access only offers compatible products for install. Traktor Pro 4 isn't listed because you don't own it yet.

You either have to activate Direct Through in the control panel or start Traktor Pro and set the Deck to Live Input.
Friedemann_NI has just listed his hardware in his signature and he uses a MacBook with M2 Pro. Traktor Pro 4 itself still runs on Intel Macs so every Apple Silicon Mac including M1 and M2 is supported and delivers enough performance. Just tested on my Mac mini M1 that I usually don't use for DJing: Traktor 4 installs flawless and runs without issues.
Even if you wanted to: You can't buy Traktor Pro 3 anymore - except you find a user transferring his/her licence to you.

Yes, Traktor Audio 6 was designed to be used as DVS interface with Traktor - doesn‘t matter if control vinyl or control CDs. Even it isn‘t made anymore it is still supported by NI.
Traktor Pro 4 is currently only bundled with NIs own hardware: Traktor X1 Mk3, Traktor Kontrol Z1, Traktor Kontrol S2 Mk3, Traktor Kontrol S3 and Traktor Kontrol S4 Mk3.
With other hardware you‘ll have to buy the licence separately.1

Hello @maniacintosh81 and thanks for the quick reply!
I take advantage of your availability...I managed to install both "Audio 6 Control Panel" and "DeviceUpdater" and I just can't understand why there is no output signal in the mixer even if the cables are connected correctly...
in fact I thought it wasn't possible...Regarding Traktor Pro 4, I was waiting to understand why from this link I read M2 Pro... maybe my simple Mac Mini M2 doesn't support it? Should I buy the 3?
Thank you very much!

Thanks @maniacintosh81 without starting any software and selecting "Direct Thru" (as you suggested) now there is also the output signal!
So I can safely buy the Pro 4 and use the Audio 6 with timecode CDs on the Mac mini M2 with Ventura 13.2.1 right?
before buying the Pro 4 however I am considering changing my old numark ndx 800 and therefore, buying two new CDJs or a compact console where the software is also included... but I see that on the Traktor website the hardware that includes the software is only the Kontrol right? can I find others elsewhere?
which one would you recommend for the timecode?sorry for the English translated by google...
