Komplete Kontrol 3 - Slow previews (KBDSW-7936)

have you checked the post of XeviaN? Why do you think it is is gui/graphic issue when the load times of the db file seems to create issue? I doubt its that. He clearly showed it that 2.9.6 and 3.4.1 have different behaviour how the software interacts with the database (komplete.db3 file). Right now it is to check the same procedure with a KK3 Keyboard on and scrolling through jog whell and scrolling through qwerty with 3.4.1 software.

Because if it was the database then you would see the same behaviour no matter what hardware is doing the scrolling. I’m not saying it’s not a factor, maybe it is contributing, but if scrolling is so fast using a mkIII despite a huge database it can’t be the only factor at play here

Yes i would agree to this conclusion…

That being said - all that stuff going on in the background I’m sure is contributing to the larger CPU and memory footprint and overall sluggishness of the KK3 interface

Did someone ever try the side pane in Kontakt 8?
When I use it browsing is as I would expect it… As soon as I use the library everything is much slower…

I just tried with browsing preset with my komplete kontrol SL61 MK2 and it's the same, even with the KK software minimized so it shouldn't draw any ui at all.
Just tried also on my laptop and the lag is the same.
I’m thinking about formatting the laptop and doing a fresh install to see what happens…

Kymeia has a KK3 Keyboard with that connected the scrolling through the jog wheel on the Keyboard seems to be normal according to him but as well not with the qwerty keyboard even when KK3 Keyboard is connected. So there is something diferent when KK3 Keyboard is connected and not how KK3 Software acts and most likely as well how browsing and previews work as a result. Perhaps the KK3 Keyboards sends a different browsing command than with the qwert keyboard to the software. I would bet my money on this horse…

It could be that but I’m wondering it’s it’s due to the onboard chip the mkIII has compared to the other models taking on some of the load?

Perhaps something like that or the software expects to get a command from the onboard chip which it doesnt get and re-request's it. Something like that could explain kind of loop process what Xevian describes…
