Left channel louder?

TP4, MBA M3, and S4 M3. Deck D seems to have one channel louder than the other. I can't figure out why? Deck A and B are set to external, and C and D are track decks. If I load a track into C, the channels are fairly balanced. If I load a track into D, the channels favour the left one. This is displayed both on Traktor and the S4 MK3.

Thought it might be an effect or the Ozone Maximiser, but switched both off, and the same output. Not sure what is going on…

I remember someone else having this problem. They had to move the pan knob (only visible in some layouts?) all the way to one side and back to center again.

Even if this is not the cause, make sure that your decks are not checked as left/right for the xfader and/or that your xfader is in middle position if any deck has a left/right check (front panel of S4).

Thanks for that. I think I know what you're talking about. This is the current status of the xfader. Look about right?

    (1) The hardware slider setting is not automatically reflecting the Traktor SW setting when starting Traktor or connecting starting the s4. Move the sliders once each after starting both to make hardware and software correspond.

    (2) If you want to rule out that this is a problem with your xfader, move the xfader into the middle position, or move all four front sliders into the middle position (after moving them to the side if they started out in the middle).

After this, are you still having problems?

Huzzah! It was a pan knob! I've been using Traktor since TP2, and I didn't even know there was a pan knob. Thanks so much. How did I manage to change that??
