I just received my S61 MK3. I cannot update the firmware because Windows 11 does not have the driver. I have all of the Windows Updates, tried to update the driver by disabling the driver verification, uninstalled and reinstalled all of the pertinent NI software, etc.
I am at a dead end. I see no way provide a support ticket.

Well, if you already tried these steps, I'll get in touch by email.

Just a question though, as these issues are mostly caused by the USB C connection, have you tried a USB C hub as mentioned in the KB article here? Kontrol S-Serie MK3: Troubleshooting Firmware Update Issues

In the future if you need to contact support you have to go on the website, go to the SUPPORT section. I've made a gif for users who struggle to contact us:

    Jeremy,

Now that I have the correct driver but now when updating it gets stuck on "Update successful, waiting for reboot." Device appears to not be recognized again.  Starting over and over, and also getting notices that this waiting is timing out the firmware update and I have to say keep waiting over and over again.
Now I am going to leave it on over night.

Trying on a 2nd windows computer and getting the same thing. It is sitting on the last firmware update "waiting for reboot."

Very frustrating…. Unit I got was on firmware 0.0.1

I have tried all of this.

Tried 3 different ways to power the unit. Says low power with everything I have tried.

New USB cables. Both with and without a USB-A to USB-C adapter.

New powered USB 3.0 hub with power for the panel.

Used 3 different USB charging stations.

Saw somewhere turning off and on 5 times. This works for the unit to show up in device manager. When I try to update the driver there are no drivers (S61 MK) in the Native Instruments list.
Firmware EXE does not find the unit either.

Tried going into safe mode and turning off driver verification.

    Tried disabling Windows Defender.
Rinse and repeat all of these steps based on each change.

Best way is to power keyboard with USBC power with two way USBC cable. I have no problem using one cable for data and power from my laptop or desktop PC. I am afraid that USB-A is the reason.

I am not sure how using a USB-A to USB-C 3.0 cable would affect anything. My computer does not have any USB-C direct connections.

Jeremy, I will look in the Support thread.

USB-A does not provide enough power to reliably power the Kontrol S MK3.

However, if the hub itself was powered, prior to going into a USB-A port, that would not explain this.

Perhaps your DFU driver is broken? Have you tried this step? It worked for another user this evening who was having unexplained odd issues simply trying to update their KSMK3.

Even with a powered Hub when using USB-A you get the error for the USB-A power. I believe the issue is using USB-A to USB-C cabling. When I connected to my work laptop the panel come right up. I have to order a USB-C card for my computer and will reply again after that.

The USB-C card I added to my computer did the trick. Booted right up and I could follow thru with the rest of the process.

Using a powered Hub did not work.
