Why suddenly is Live input on decks when starting up traktor pro3?

Since pro4 hasbeen released I decided for awhile to hold off changing over but now out of the blue when I open traktor pro 3 on my S3 controller Deck A&B are showing Live input so I go into preferences and have to change Deck A&B manualyy to Track deck A&B every time I open up Traktor, methinks there is a bug, I've updated and this is still happening.

Any ideas?

I can confirm this with a Kontrol Z2, start-up in Live Input and decks A and B are reversed, have to switch hamster XF on/off.

Since upgrading to Traktor Pro 4 (TP4), Deck A and D show as Live Input upon opening. This software, like the previous one, is very buggy. When you close Traktor Pro of any version you are presented with a process that supposedly saves your configuration. To a degree, it saves a configuration and places it in some file but you are led to believe that the next time you open Traktor it will open with your latest configuration and or settings. This is far from the truth and each time you open TP4 you have to manually configure everything. This is now how "GOOD" software should respond especially paid software. I have sent to support more than once with their reply to delete the current configuration file go into the backup folder and grab that file to replace the deleted one. That's not a fix it's a temporary band-aid that gets rips off eventually and you are back to square one. If I have to do this manually I'm sure GOOD developers should be capable of automating this task to fix the software. What's the point of saving the configuration upon closing when opening TP4 or any version of Traktor Pro requires you to manually configure your settings each time…This is just Dumb!

I encountered the same issue: after setting all decks to Track Deck mode, they initially load correctly when reopening Traktor. However, before I can interact with the software, they automatically switch back to Live Mode.

It seems like a script executes after Traktor reads its configuration, overriding the deck settings.

After inspecting dozens of QML files without finding a cause, I revisited my Input Routing settings. I discovered that some input values were assigned, which made Traktor assume there were active external audio sources.

By setting all inputs to "Not Connected", the problem was resolved. It turns out that selecting an input in the Input Routing settings signals to Traktor that external audio inputs are in use, which then forces the decks into Live Mode automatically.
