I bought it from the Amazon Komplete Storefront - I tried support on the website but the link leads me nowhere

If you got it from Amazon it's probably a return from someone who bought it, registered it and returned it as they didn't like it. I'd suggest doing a return and getting a new replacement. That way you get a new unit and all the software will work.
