Machine+ Community Drive Library

Hi Community,

I watched a tutorial on youtube from "Jef Gibbons - Ultimate Maschine+/MK3 Note Editing Masterclass! Plus Community Drive and J3PO patches!”

@ 17:29 I recognised that both community drive libraries are part of the All Vendor (probably NI) on M+. As well had an image to library, so I understand this is part of Factory Library.

I was trying to integrate this and couldn’t find a way how.

I downloaded the community Lib via Native Access a while ago.

I was just able to copy it across via USB Storage, as well tried via USB Stick, but it's shown as a User Lib. As well the library has no image.

I wonder if I did anything wrong or if there is different method how to download / install this lib to M+.

It didn’t show up as available.

You guys have an idea how that works?

Just saying, it's not bad for me if it is/stays as user lib. Hower, I just try to understand this Machine :-)

System Version 1.5.1.0

Machine Version 2.17.5 (RO)

Firmware 0.1.9

I am pretty sure Jeff is using his Maschine+ in tethered mode with a computer, because that way can show everything on his big screen.

Back then, I was also looking to install the Community Drive expansions on the M+ and even asked Support if they are available as regular Expansions. Answer was that they are not Maschine Expansions and therefore have to be installed manually. At least the tagging of all the content worked, IIRC.

Also, IIRC, I had to save the Groups with Samples or something like that…

    Thanks for the reply.

You are right, it made click.

The Power Led is RED in video (controller mode).

    Now all makes sense.

    Cheers!

Just checked on my M+: You can copy over the Groups/Kits as they are. If you first load them, the Samples cannot be found. Load something like the Sofie Tucker Kit which has Sample names that are easy to identify and locate the first Sample. After that, the location of the Community Drive Lib is known and all other Samples will load just fine.

Yes I realised that first time I tried loading a group or a demo project…

I kind of thought oh dear, assigning now all samples, etc. individually, nice.

However, I gave it a try to check where this go and after first assignment it aligned all others itself.
