X1 MK3 X2 WITH Z1 FOR TRAVELLING

HI

IM USING A Z1 AND X1 MK3 WHEN I WENT TRAVELLING TO THAILAND AT XMAS AND PLAYED A FEW GIGS

I M TRAVELLING AGAIN SEPTEMBER AND I HAVE NOW GOT 2 X KONTROL X1 MK3.

DO I NEED TO USE 2x KONTROL Z 1s TO CONNECT EVERYTHING UP TO PLAY 4 SEPERATE CHANNELS OR COULD I BUY A AUDIO INTERFACE LIKE AN AUDIO 6 TO CONNECT EVERYHING UP TO PLAY OUT LIVE

    As mixing is done internally in software with Z1 you don‘t need another audio interface. Main output and headphones are enough. The real missing part are two additional channel strips with line faders, EQs and so on.

    SO I WOULD BE BETTER WITH 2 x Z1 SO I CAN SEE ALL 4 DECKS AT ONCE ?

    I would consider a Xone:K2 from Allen&Heath as it has controls that can be used as mixer part for four channels. It also features an audio interface.

    Not sure about if you can remap a second Z1 to control decks C & D.

    COULD I USE 2 X Z 1s WITH AUDIO 6 INTERFACE AND 2 X1 MK 3 s?

    I don't think traktor allows you to use two z1.

    Maybe if you put one into midi and map it yourself or something like that. But it's not like an x1 where you can select what decks you want to control.

    But if you get an a6 interface and the venue has a mixer, that would work. Then no z1 is needed.

    if the clubs you play in have a DJM mixer, you can and SHOULD connect it to yout latop directly and use its internal soundcard. its the best of both worlds. and can also connect CDJs by HDI and get a full traktor control system. If the clubs have any regular mixer, you can just get a 4 channel audio interface and connect it to that mixer.

    I've got 2 x1 mk3s rigged up now going through the z1 and it is working ok but the lack of vu meter is a problem so I've bought a f1 is there anyway some one could do a map so I can use the faders on the f1 as each individual channel on Traktor and light up the bars underneath for a visual on each deck.

    I've looked at all the various maps online and I can't find anything for the z1 mk3 with an f1 or using 2 z1s as I mentioned in my previous post.

    Ive ordered an audio6 interface which will be here tomorrow so when I go traveling I will take the audio 6 instead of the f1.
