Do I Need to Upgrade to Traktor 4
By most accounts, I am probably NOT a DJ at all. Why? Because what I do is simply list and play music for Swing Dancers. I don't "scratch" or "bend" or "enhance" the music I play in any way whatsoever. I have used Traktor DJ software since version 2 and am now using 3. When I read about and watch the video for what the new Traktor 4 entails . . . I have no idea what half of it even means or how on earth I would ever use those features. So my question is: How much longer can I continue to use Traktor 3 without moving up to Traktor 4?. Or maybe: Do I need to upgrade just to keep everything working OK?

No, if that remains your profile, you will be happy with TP3 for many years to come.
I know a lot of others who still use TP2 for everything these days and they are fine with it. If you don't update your computer on which you have Traktor installed every year, i.e. leave the operating system etc. as it is now, you shouldn't have any problems at all.1

THANKS! I think I will just leave things be for awhile then.

You're welcome. Just one more thing: If you use your computer for other things besides Traktor, e.g. internet, emails, online documents or clouds, I would at least recommend that you regularly install all recommended security updates.
