Loading Electric Sunburst Deluxe In Studio One

Hey Guys.

So I bought ESD a few weeks ago just before NI announced they were having a summer sale (Doh!). Today was the first chance that I got to sit down and work with it. I have downloaded it in Native Access and …compiled it in Komplete Kontrol which shows me that it's there but if I double click on the icon it then loads a black screen. Not sure if that was important thought I'd throw it in.

I then opened up Studio One and can't see it listed. I see the regular ES but not the deluxe.

What am I missing?

At least you are missing the need to supply enough basic information to give people at least a ball park area chance of trying to assess what could be the problem. What is the version of Kontakt used ? , version of Komplete Kontrol used ? , also what is your Native Access version ? Also what is the exact model of display adapter/graphics card used ? (always check system information for the software prior to buying)

N.A. version 3.2.1 ? , are you sure ? , if so then you appear to be from the future , the latest for me is 3.12.1 .

Komplete 14 needs a graphics card/display adapter better than that and even if you got an i5 CPU then that may be subpar too ?

However I have been unable to find anything that suggests that the "Intel HD Graphics 3000" can not run Kontakt 6. Still I wouldn't be surprised at all to learn that your hardware platform for some reason will induce problems of one type of another.

At least try to see if you can open the Electric Sunburst Deluxe in Kontakt 6 standalone as asked by Uwe303

This one could be due to that you have to reset the Studio One plugin data base, but before that you do that then also maybe try to reset both the Kontakt and the Komplete Kontrol data bases . Then try and see if you can open the library in Kontakt 6 stand alone.

Also if you have Kontakt 7 player installed then please also check that the DAW does not open Kontakt 7 because your system definitely appear to be subpar for that.

I have followed through and reset both the Kontact and KK databases. Relaunched Studio 1 and it does a fresh scan of vst's everytime. Opened up a track and still don't see ESD listed.

My laptop is not up to date but yea it's very stable. It's reaching the end of it's usefulness and can't go to windows 11 but it's been really good with my studio one and all my vst's. Kontact 6 has been great but I tried a year ago to load 7 and the graphics card just couldn't handle that.

Just to answer Uwe's question the ESD does not load in Kontact but does appear in KK

I downloaded it and installed it. Opened it in S1 and there it was!

Just one more thing but the disk image file is currently sitting in my download folder. If everything is unpacked and working do I need this? Does it need to be moved or can I delete it?

You can delete it, I would say if you need it later for a reinstall you can download the ISO again.

Thank you for sharing what fixed the issue. and sorry if I missed this detail, normally Kontakt will tell that kontakt is too old for the library if the problem is that the library needs downgrading. For some reason I can not select Uwe303's other answer as the solution.
