SHIFT + * = Favorite Sound - Mirko Mk.3 / Does this work for you?

Hey, I just started using the mikro mk3. I watched all of the tutorials and read the owners manual. I wanted to favorite a sound (for the first time) today, but the “SHIFT + *” shortcut didnt work for me. Is anyone else running into this issue? The button works, it sends me to favorites list, but the SHIFT command isn't working.

You can only add favorites on the software side, see p 102 of the manual: Adding and Removing Favorites

Bad answer. this is the official “Browsing Sounds With Maschine Mikro | Native Instruments” video with Boris— posted by NI.

at the 1 min mark, he clearly says you’re able to favorite sounds with ‘SHIFT+*’. This MUST be updated in the next software update 2.18.2. If anyone is like me and not only read the manual, but watched all the tutorial episodes, they’ll be equally upset to find this feature not working as advertised— let alone the lack of functionality form the mikro mk2. It almost makes it seem disadvantageous to buy the mikro mk3. I still have hope tho! As a programmer, I know these changes are possible.

this is a bad answer because the reponse should be, “Sorry, it should work— we’ll fix this.” The tutorial video is over 5 years old. The mirko’s functionality should only improve, not get worse.

@ALLAHJOSEPH Sorry, I wasn't aware of this video, I only tried to repro and only checked the manual. I'll try to get more clarity on when and why this loss of functionality happened and if a fix is planned.

im on your team Jeremy! Let’s make it happen! I love MPC, but Maschine can be so much better/a realllllly tough opponent!!! The building blocks are already there. Im actually making a video about this whole situation— will be on youtube by end of week; Not to clown NI, but to push innovation and growth!!! Thanks for getting back to me, lets make magic happen. All these fixes WILL increase sales. I guarantee it.

okay, im sure youve seen my shortcut idea posts. I was looking for official notes on the update, but found no literature. But in order of priority, can we get the signature manual sampling back on the mikro? There should be no reason my mk2 can out sample the mk3.
