Traktor K. S2 with Traktor DJ 2-Connection issues,Mac 12.7.5

Hi there,

Any help most appreciated…

I have Traktor Kontroller S2 with Traktor DJ 2 software and its not talking to the software on my Mac Monterey 12.7.5

The Native Instruments Support tab says they should be compatible as per the below link, (oops it wont let me post a link sorry) but its under system requirements for Traktor controller S2

I just cant get it to work.

S2MK3 comes with a license for Traktor Pro 3. It's got a lot more features than Traktor DJ 2 so if you have that controller you should consider switching.

Which Traktor Kontrol S2 you are using? Mk1, Mk2 or Mk3? As far as I know only the last one is compatible with Traktor DJ 2.

Thank you, Im using S2Mk1. I was told it was compatible with Traktor DJ 2.

I thought the iussue was the Mac OS!

Any ideas how to get them to talk to each other would be most appreciated!

Kontrol S2 Mk1 isn‘t supported on macOS at least since macOS 10.15 Catalina (if not longer) by NI.

There are some reports of users got Mk1 controllers working on newer macOS versions. But others failed using the same instructions.

But I expect even if you get this to work you will have to use Traktor Pro 3.

I can downgrade my laptop to Catalina 10.15.7

Do you think thats worth trying? Otherwise would Traktor pro 3 even work with the S2 Mk1?

Traktor s2 mk1 works with latest mac sonoma, so I would assume it also works with Monterey. I'm not a mac guy though.

Traktor Pro 3 works with s2 mk1.
