Machine 1- Compatibility Issues/Options

I have the Machine 1 and was using it on an old macbook pro. The current software is 10.15 Catalina.

I'm curious as to my options as this config won't work moving forward, If i'm reading this information correctly.

Am I just out of luck with this and need to upgrade?

Is there a workaround while on this OS?

Due to other programs I cant use an older OS.

Please let me know if i've given enough info or if more is needed.

Unfortunately the MK1 doesn't work on 10.15 or higher as it says in the compatibility details here - https://nativeinstruments1563884500.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360004302958-macOS-10-15-Catalina-Compatibility-with-Native-Instruments-Products There's no workaround I know about on Mac, so I think your only option is to upgrade the hardware.

Not sure if this work with Maschine Mk1 but Traktor Kontrol S4 Mk1 has a similar issue from Catalina onwards.

This method is for the S4 Mk1 but if you follow these steps with Maschine drivers I can imagine it could work too. At least on Intel Macs. At least it is worth a try.

Thank you @mykejb and @maniacintosh81 for your responses. I will try to use the drivers, but I think I agree taht I might just need new hardware. I will be sure to confirm what worked for me.

I don't think that your problem is hardware related, once youalready have upgraded the hardware when you changed your old computer for the new one. The problem seems to be in the software version, that does not allows you tu use the old Maschine version.

The ideal solution should be upgrading your Maschnie 1 for a Maschine 2. So you have 2 options:

• Buy the full Maschine 2 version (expensive solution)
• Buy the upgrade Maschine 2 from Maschine 1 (cheaper solution)

The problema in the cheaper solution is that you should have a Maschine 1 version installed to install the upgrade for Maschine 2.

I don't think you would need to have Maschine 1 installed. The upgrade price is just a discount because you purchased the previous software. The download will be the full Maschine 2 software.
