Native Access slow slow slow
Trying to download any of the larger library updates is impossible. Native Access gets to the end of the download and freezes. Have tried this many many times on my fibre connection. There should be an alternative way to download these files. Stuck in update hell …..🙁

Just to add, I installed an older version of Native Access (version 3.8.0 ) and it fixed the download problem. Also fixed the problems with finding libraries. 👍

Hello PBC, thanks for updating us on this topic. Yes downgrading the Native Access to the 3.8.0 or 3.8.1 will solve the finding libraries issue. Also according to the slow downloading issue, here is the Knowledge Base Article that can help you with this case:
My Native Access Downloads Are Taking Too Long
I hope this helps☺️

Thanks - 3.8.0 does work but because NA automatically updates to 3.11 on launch I have to keep reinstalling it ..

Sorry , N.I. does not want us to turn off auto-update.

Hey PBC, Unfortunately it is not possible to keep the Native Access from auto-updating but if you downgrade to 3.8.1 and don't close the Native Access afterwards, it will still stay in the 3.8.1 until you close it, which can be a temporary solution to this request. And if you specifically want to stay in 3.8.1 and the Native Access will auto update itself, you can downgrade it one more time even if this solution does not very practical.
Here are the direct download links for the Native Access 3.8.1 in case you may need it:

Hi all, thank you, this thread helped me with all the fun things….super-slow download, failed download, failed installs, libraries not showing up, NKDaemon conflict, you name it I had it. Thought I'd share my experience in case it could help somebody else in turn.
I downloaded and installed 3.8.1 as per the link above, all good except the install failed because "a newer version of NKDaemon is installed" despite me uninstalling the utterly useless current version of Access with the wizard. NKDaemon itself didnt have an uninstaller, and it didnt show up in the Windows Uninstall app. Not only that, the NKDaemon.exe file was in a hidden folder called NKD which didnt show up even when I told Windows to show hidden folders. Thanks for that! So I went to task manager, right clicked on the task and used that to show me the daemon's location. Then terminated the process in task manager and went to the now-revealed NKD folder and deleted the file. Then I ran the 3.8.1 intaller and everything worked first time: Access installed, all my uninstalled libraries were visible, and so far I've downloaded 4 products with no errors. Download speed is still a bit lacklustre at 10MB/s when some of the libraries are tens of GB, but thats vastly better than what I had with the latest version of Access.
Good luck anyone else who has this problem. Would be nice if NI could get a grip of it.

Hello Log Monster, thanks for the input and that is good to hear that the issue is resolved even after a long process.
The new version of the Native Access (13.0.0), so these issues should be fixed in there, please make sure that you download the latest version of the Native Access using this link:
