Hi, my macbook air running catalina recently had its logic board replaced. Traktor ran fine a couple of times but now I can't load the Tsi for my s2mk2, playlists are gone and collection too. Have tried to reinstall Tsi's but can't. Can't reload collection or playlists.
What the hell do i do now??
Cheers Mat

First of I would copy your collections.nml and maybe even the backups to a secure place, like a usb stick or something.

Do you have iCloud or storage optimization turned on? Do you get some kind of error when you try to import the collection?

Hi thanks for the reply. I will back them up for sure. Don't use icloud.
I reset the controller to default settings and finally managed to at least get that working.
When i try and import collection files (via folder tree in traktor) it simply states that it cannot read them. When doing this through the import via settings the nml files are all greyed out and unavailable.
Are playlists saved via collection files as well?

To make sure you do it right, here is how it should work in theory: https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/209590729-How-to-Restore-the-TRAKTOR-Track-Collection-from-a-Backup

If you already did that, maybe there files are somehow broken. You could a collections.nml up and see if it "looks" right, as in if it's human readable.

Hi, yes i tried the above method and it begins to import but stops saying the files are unreadable.
Its possible that this version of traktor doesn't like the nml files made with an older version of traktor ?(cant remember which one i had)
It seems as though this started when I updated the Native Access Hub. I don't know what difference that would make as that was just to enable me to download and install the newer version of traktor. This did all work fine orginally. The logic board was replaced after all this on the mac and the OS upgraded at the same time perhaps there is a miss match between versions of traktor/OS & Access??

No, importing from older versions should be fine

That is what I would have thought too, otherwise what would be the point!
The question still remains though as to why the Nml files are unreadable!?

Did you try to open it up with an text editor?

You can try to send it to me and i can try to import it.

Hi, i did open one with a text editor but thought i'd re-try some older backups 'just in case' … and touch wood its currently reading one of them and (hopefully) reinstating the collection with the playlists!
It seems as though some of the backup files were corrupted although you wouldn't know until you tried to reinstate them! I'll let you know if it works as its currently still plugging through 1000's of tunes.
