Activation after moving drive to new Mac ?
Hello,
I switched to another computer by removing the drive with all my native instruments software and put it into the new computer.
For some reason I have to re-activate all software, but how can I do that?

Depending on the exact problem , where you e.g. took the system drive from one PC and put into another then you might have to reinstall the apps and then treat the Content as having been moved.
Install :

Move :

Hello,
you don´t need to re-activate anything, you have all the products in your account, there is a "my products" page where you can see that. On a new computer you just install native access 2, then you log in, set all folders like you need it and then you should be able to install all with the button "install all".

Hello again,
I tried to install native acces 2, but I see now that it only works with macOS 11.0 or higher…
Can I try to do it with an earlier version of Native Acces?

Hi again,
When I open Kontakt 5, I see all libraries are there, but just not activated. I added a screenshot of that.
When I click on the activate button, a product activation window opens, but I cannot log in. So then I get the message that I also added a screenhot of that. The mailadress and password I use, is the same as for my NI account. What is wrong here???

You are supposed to use Native Access for activation not through Kontakt. What happens when/if you try using Native Access ? And what is your Native Access version ? And exact Mac OS version used ?

I use Native Acces 1.14.1 because I still work in macOS 10.13.6
I don't know how to activate in Native Acces….

@Jeremy_NI , Could you please check above concerning libraries/content showing in Kontakt 5 as needing activation !

It looks like third party libraries. How do these libraries show in Native Access? as installed? If not you'll need to use the locate function. As a reminder, this is how to install 3rd party libraries on your computer: Setting Up a Third-Party Kontakt Library

They show up as being installed. And they are exactly in the same location as before.
I only moved the hard drive to another Mac…..

Then try this (I hope that that will at least give you a 'locate' option rather than an 'activate') :
My Products Are Showing As DEMO in Native Access , especially '2. Your activation fails because of corrupted or missing activation tokens' and '3. You have corrupted XML files' (delete both NA XML and all offending product XML)
If the above doesn't help then try Jeremy_NI's latest 'invention' : the replacing of the XML file.
It looks like the Native Access.xml file downloaded by NA is damaged/incomplete.
In this example it is missing the Kontakt 7 entries, please try the following:
Delete the Native Access.xml in the following location and restart your computer and open NA
Windows: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments\Service Center
Mac: Macintosh HD > Library > Application Support > Native Instruments > Service Center
Repeat until the missing products reappear/the products in demo recognise their activation again.
If this doesn't work, please download this zip file, unzip it and and replace your xml file with this one.

I’ll try that tomorrow. Thanks so far!

Goodmorning,
I tried that, but I only removed the Native acces.xml. Do I have to remove more xml. files?
It didn't work so far, they are still in demo mode.

Those steps will not help, it's for more recent versions of Native Access.
@Hans Rusche What have you done exactly?
removing the drive with all my native instruments software and put it into the new computer.
Native Access on your new computer should see everything as not installed. What I don't understand is how Native Access, on your computer shows everything as installed.

Hi Jeremy,
I've been working on an old Mac pro for many years, using Kontakt 5. The most important libraries for me are Session Horns pro and Vintage organs.
I bought a newer Mac pro as back-up. These machines still work very fine. I still work with macOS 10.13.6 and Logic 10.4.8. Both are on the same hard drive, and also all NI software. I wanted to switch to the newer Mac pro, so I pulled the drive out of the older one and then put it into the newer machine. Everything seem to work fine, exept for some software, which had to be authorized again.
Is it possible that the activation for NI is computer related and not drive related? In other words, if I put the drive back into the old machine everything works fine again?
