The ensemble Metaphysical Function is great for generative soundscapes. But after I’ve upgraded to Reaktor 6 I get repeated warnings (see picture). Is there any way of fixing the ensemble? Or is there a similar one without bugs?
This is an old ensemble that does use event loops. You turned off event loops, so it is complaining about the event loops that it is not allowed to run.
Just tried on M1 Macbook Pro Mac OS 14.5 (latest) Reaktor 6.5.0

Yes, i believe that is the issue you have @DanielW, disabled Event Loops. To enable them open Reaktor and Preferences (Cmd + , (Comma)) and untick (disable) Globally disable event loops.

and, if is a bug, why no one reported it before? Metaphysical Function is a pretty popular ensemble…
Yes, it’s weird. And as I said, I have zero problems with any other ensembles.
That’s right
Which Reaktor Version you are using ? I don't have issues with Reaktor 6.5.0 on MacBook Pro M1 Sonoma 14.5 using Metaphysical Function A and B.
I do. That exact combination.
Also tried to switch System language to Swedish and restarted my machine but still works okay w/o issues. Can you try to reinstall Reaktor Factory Library in Native Access and then check if it works in Reaktor ?
I did that. No change.
Did you also try to reinstall Reaktor 6 in Native Access ? Which version of Native Access are you using ?
No, I guess I should try that. I bought it just the other day. Native Access i version 3.11.1.
There is absolutely no reason to reinstall entire software just because a preset (an ensemble in this case) doesn't work as expected.
If there is a software problem, then all his ensembles would have problems, not just one out of an entire library.
This is 100% a Metaphysical Function ensemble issue, not a Reaktor or Native Access issue.
Maybe you are right @Sunborn, but it doesn't hurt to give it a try.
Probably yes. But now I’m doing it anyway. And if that doesn’t work, I will just have to stick to the other thousands of ensembles out there. I was just wondering if this was a common problem and if there might be a way to fix it. Guess I will contact NI support too.
@DanielW, it seems your Native Access is up to date. Yes, maybe you can try to reinstall Reaktor also if that doesn't sound logical.
I did, and rebooted the computer. Same errors. I appreciate all your help, but this seems to be impossible to solve. Any suggestions for similar sound generators?
Can you share the Ensemble that fails ?
I can reproduce it:
What happens when you disable / deactivate Globally disable event loops ?
