Hi all,
I have an iMac from 2012, which allows me to make music perfectly well. However, it's limited in that it will never be able to update beyond OS 11 - Big Sur and that's fine with me.
What is not fine is the continual atrocious behaviour of Native Access which continues to plague me with updates, not least to itself, which just DO NOT WORK on this setup and automatically crash everything.
It's beyond annoying to have to reinstall my working software every time NI's software decides it's time to destroy my set up yet again.
Please, either make your software intelligent enough that it doesn't bother to update itself on systems you no longer support, but continues to work in the way it has in the past, or give me the option to SWITCH ITS UPDATES OFF.
NI has a regrettably atrocious record for backwards compatibility or even continued usage of its products on systems it no longer wants to deal with. Please don't extend this to the single piece of software you insist that all your clients have to use.
Thanks

Seconded, we need an option to turn off automatic updates for Native Access. I'm fed up with installing NI updates that break more than they fix.

Agreed 100%!

Fourthed!
NA should remain untouched 24x7x365 until I decide to update.

Agree. Every time I launch Native Access I am forced to update. This is annoying enough but the latest version has seriously screwed a lot of people over. At least let people decide if they want the Auto update on.

Add me to the list. Definitely.

Couldn't agree more. I already posted that the new update causes Native Access to not open. I have to keep reinstalling an earlier version and then it auto-updates. Native fix this, and also fix 3.11.0.

Imagine someone coming to your house and without ringing the doorbell or asking permission to enter, force an unlawful entry, change something on your stuff and walk back out as though nothing happened. They would be prosecuted by the law!

I should add that to me it does not matter whether the update works or does not work on my computer, I just do not want any external manipulation of any kind WITHOUT my consent.
