Brand New Maschine Mikro 3 no sound output.

I'm a Traktor 3 user and was hoping the setup experience for the Mikro was going to be just as easy. Sadly it's been hours of frustration with no result. I've spent a decent amount of time reading other troubleshooting answers for the same question but none of them seem to work for me.

So firstly, my specs

Win 10 Desktop Ryzen 5600x 16GB Ram @ 3600Mhz 3080ti all drivers up to date including BIOS.

So in the preferences, which driver should I use? Asio/WASAPI (Shared and exclusive)?

Really doesn't help a noob like me that this is not made clear.

In ASIO this is the only option I have for input

in WASAPI (excl) I only get this option

In WASAPI no connections at all

on outputs we have

pc sound options

No input device showing while Mikro is plugged in

Gen prefs

All out of ideas for now..

Sorry I can't find the link as I spent over 3 hours looking at many and have forgotten what thread it was in. From memory it involved opening regedit/currentuser/software/nativeinstruments and deleting only the maschine 2 folder. There is a possibility I made a mistake in the menu tree so please double check by looking for that thread. It was somewhere in this fourm regarding maschine and "no sound output"
