Hi there, been faithfully using (and teaching) Traktor Pro for a long time. These changes would make TP3 heavenly for me:

Mix Recording:

  • Get rid of (or make optional) the split file setting in mix recorder (why is this still here?)
  • (Default) option to make the file size for recordings unlimited
  • Add a mix recorder quality setting for mp3 / WAV / FLAC / AIFF
  • Be able to auto-capture a set even if you didn’t record it (after the fact)
  • Make the history remain when you boot it up the next time (so you can capture your playlist from last performance)
  • Be able to publish direct to SoundCloud
  • Be able to easily publish your playlist + song meta data when you post to SC

Looping:

  • Extend max loop to 128 and make a custom loop setting with markers (so I can loop half or most of a song if I want)

File Management:

  • Make the connection to the Finder smart so that Traktor doesn’t loose track of files when they’re relocated or a folder is renamed.
  • Optimize the file relocation process so that finding lost files is faster (takes way too long even when you point the way by telling Traktor where to look)

Decks Layout:

  • Make the toggle for views on the decks layout easier for noobs (with check boxes for what you can see from a drop down menu including headphone mix, cue/grid, etc.)

MIDI Mapping

  • Make MIDI so you can click on a parameter to map it (Like Ableton)
