I have to open kontakt 7 and THEN chose the folder of the plugin and manually look for and click on the samples I want to be able to play. Is this normal?
As far as I know then what is 'normal' depends on the product in question and if it has NKS integration or not. Some of what I have can only be opened through the file browser which is normal for that and other are products that has full NKS integration are on the library product list with nice pictures and sound previews which I guess that a lot of people would describe as being the 'normal' thing since that is what you would maybe expect. How do you know you bought Kontakt 7 - is it registered and available in your NI Acct?
How are you installing your product? Native Access? If so - what version?
What OS are you using?

I bought it on sale a few days ago. And I can use it in Logic. Yes native access. I have a imac ”24 with M3 chip, new computer.

Make sure that you are opening Kontakt 7 and not a previous player version.
If you are using Komplete Kontrol then in plugins settings try checking the Always use latest version of plugins .

Kontakt 7 is the only one I ever owned, I'm quite new to this. Used Cubase 13 years ago on a PC! I will test your advice.

After exit N.A. then you can also try the following trouble shooter here : My Products Are Showing As DEMO in Native Access , especially '2. Your activation fails because of corrupted or missing activation tokens' and '3. You have corrupted XML files' (delete both NA XML and offending Kontakt product XML) then restart computer and log in again to see if that helps
Else : What is your OS ? And what is the version of Kontakt 7 used ? And what is Native Access version ?

nothing works. Maybe I installed it in the wrong folder?

Sounds like it's time for a chat with NI support. Not sure what else we can do here.

I actually got it to work now. But idk if this is the way. Normally I install tre plugins and bam there they are in Logic under native instruments then kontakt 7, its there. But this vst is not there with its other spitfire plugins. I have to open kontakt 7 and THEN chose the folder of the plugin and manually look for and click on the samples I want to be able to play. Is this normal?
