Technics 1200 MK2 pre amp?

Looking to connect my Technics 1200’s to my S4 MK3 when they come back from a service. Can I plug them into the controller or would I need some type of pre amp before the controller?

Hold the button EXT down for half a second SHIFT + EXT to switch from LINE to PHONO (preamp). And then once more (short tap) to go to live input. That's only on decks A and B.

Edit: because sometimes i'm a scatterbrain.
