My computer only has a local drive C: and for some of the programs, it wants to install on/through a disk drive that does not exist. For example, Massive X, one of the main reasons I wanted to get the bundle, will not install properly. I went from Native Access 1 to 2 today to see if that would help resolve the issue, because, why not jus try. It has not helped. I am concerned that multiple files from this bundle will not work now. Also, how do I have the libraries from different vsts save on an external safely? What is the correct path for those? I swear I'm not a total idiot, some of this install just feels... unnecessary? I guess? I Dunno, I know that NI needs to keep everything under lock and key, but this is just excessive if items cannot just install properly from a central hub like Native Access.

Anyways, any and all help is appreciated! thank you!

What makes you think it wants to install to another drive? You'll often see another drive appear during installation then disappear afterwards. That's to be expected and it's how the installers work.

What's the error you're getting trying to install Massive X?

To put libraries on a different drive you can set the location in the preferences for Native Access. Change the installation path for Content to your external drive address. I'd suggest something like E:\NativeInstruments if your external drive is E:

Here is for reference of what I am seeing. And it appears that massive and kontact are in different locations. Not in the appropriate folder though.

That's a temporary "phantom drive" used by Native Access to unpack files while it installs the software. As mykejb already said, that's normal.

Please leave both Application and VST plugin paths as they are default on system drive. The only paths that you should concern yourself with are Content and the Download folder location (you want to put especially Content where you have plenty of space)

It's ok to change the Application and VST paths if you really want to. Just make sure that you point your VST2 path in your DAW to the new location rather than the usual C:\Program Files\Native Instruments\VSTPlugins 64 bit folder if you want use the VST2 versions of the plugins.
