Mapping Condition "DeckPlay off" not working correctly with S4 MK3 BrowseEncoder ?
Hi,
due to the "blurry waveform/no sound" bug I have set "only load into stopped deck" deactivated in the preferences. But in a recent gig I made a mistake and loaded a track into an audible deck. (ouch)
So now I want to avoid that mess by mapping a condition to the "load selected" command which is mapped to the Browse.Encoder.Push. I added the setting shown below and indeed this works BUT: only one time.
If I press the browse.encoder a second time it loads the track into the playing deck !
So I re-mapped the same function to another button (Browse.Queue) and it worked. It also worked with a Keyboard hotkey but it never works like this (example for Deck C):
Could anybody confirm whether this is working with the browse encoder or if you have the same behaviour?
I'm using latest T Pro 3.11 on a Win10 Laptop with S4MK3 ASIO driver.
Cheers
Chong

Make sure that the modifier condition 'Play/Pause = Off' is for deck C, just like your assignment is for deck C.

Thanks for your reply, Sûlherokhh,
but
how can I make it sure ?can you show a working example eventually?

- Increase the size of the Preferences window.
- Expand the row 'Modifier Condition 1' in size so the whole text is shown.

this was already done before but my screenshot didn't show....
in your screenshot I see the mapping for Browse.Encoder.Push but I selected Left.Browse.Encoder.Push
Do you show your settings in TPro 3.11 ? My version is

The mapping on my picture is for a Kontrol D2, which doesn't have left/right controls. I just wanted to show you how you can see the details of your own mapping.
Looks like you have the right Modifier Condition (namely play/pause OFF for DECK C).
If it works with the Que button, it should also work with Browse Encoder Push. I don't see any mistake in your mapping.

then I guess it might be a little bug ...

Try again with a different button. As soon as you get it to work on another button, exchange the assigned control with Browser Push and check if it now works. If not, the encoder push may be broken. In that case, test if the Push works at all for anything.

the push is fine i always used it -but without conditions.
As described above the Browse Queue button works. I'm confused....
Thanks a lot for trying to help me.
BTW do you know a way of re-ordering the commands in the mapping list?

The limitations of the Traktor mapping editor have a long history. Thankfully a few years back somebody made a 3rd party editor for TSI mapping files.
For mappings longer than a couple of lines i use CMDR all the time.

Maybe there are modifications done to the qml file and browser encoder.

Even then, overmapping takes priority, especially with Override factory map checked. Unless the Browse Encoder is broken, and pressing it doesn't do anything at all.

i don't know how to modify the qml and never used any mods.
The browse encoder works fine, it even works when pressed first time it respects the deck play condition but when pressed a second time it always loads the track.
I created a support ticket connected to this thread

What about simple keyboard mapping, does that work fine?

yes keyboard works, as described in my original post. Also browse.queue works every time i hit it. but the encoder only at first time, second time it loads the track.... strange.

Export all mappings and settings for us to investigate. It doesn't sound like a hardware issue.
