S88 MK3 Screen Not Showing Samples FL Studio

Hello,

Running windows 10, fl studio 21 and an S88 mk3.

The problem I am having is with my desktop PC and being able to use it with the samples from NI on Komplete Kontrol and/or Kontakt 7.

I know the keyboard can display the icons and I can use it to scroll through them on the keyboard itself as it is working on my laptop via powering the keyboard with a USB-C to mains and using a USB-C to USB-C from the host. This works on all the above.

When connecting to my PC I am using from what I can tell the same configuration but I am using a USB-C to USB-A adaptor to the adapt the cable I am using in the laptop configuration so everything is the same but for some reason it is not working. I am thinking either there is some setting which is not the same on the PC compared to the laptop or it is the fact I am using this adaptor for the USB-C?

Any ideas most welcome!

The USB-C to A adapter suggests that you are using an USB A port on the computer which had often been enough in cases where there otherwise have been problems. But I have noticed that someone N.I. have recommended using an USB-C hub to be on the safe side !

Also , if you are using an USB A port be sure to attach a power adapter to the S88 MK3 because the USB-A port delivers less power than the C-ports (you generally ought to use an USB-C PSU capable of PD , i recommend minimum 20W to be on safe side !)

Your headline says , quote : "S88 MK3 Screen Not Showing Samples FL Studio" , but as far as I can see then you do not tell if it works on the desktop PC using the standalone version of the apps ? E.g. Komplete Kontrol ?

Else I also have to suggest that you do the standard trouble shooting for keyboards , also checking if the correct driver is loaded. Also important , then Windows must be up to date !
