MK3: Best way to live loop

Hello NI Community,

I have a Maschine MK3 and violin as my main instrument. I'm looking for a way to sample violin into Maschine in loops and have the chance to record over the previous loop. In other words, I want to be able to add layers to one recording with my violin during a live performance setting, without hassling too much with the hardware in-between takes.

Is this possible? I experimented with a few ways and months ago, I think I had found a solution. However now, I can't seem to find that solution.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you!

Sampling>Loop Mode>Sound Is probably the way to go, if you want to stack takes on top of each other.

After a take is done, just select the next pad and keep going; but exact sub-settings depends on your needs.
