Tablets have become so powerful these days and running things like traktor should be available.
Space in the booth is at a premium. Smaller stand, less weight, better position for screen would all be positives. Also being able to save on gig bag weight would be a plus.
Perhaps allow prep and mapping on the laptop then export to an iPad app for use with synced libraries.
I now using sidecar on ipad to have the screen in front of the mixer without the need for a bulky stand or laptop. It’s just another point of failure and with the iPad Pro running the same chipset as some of the laptops, I don’t see why we can’t run this app on them.
