Maschine Mikro turning off immediately after plugging in

I am having an issue with my device. I plug it in to my computer and the device lights up then immediately shuts off. I am very confused as to what is going wrong, as it turns on for a second upon pugging in. Please help! Thank you!

If the Maschine software or plug-in is not open on your computer, the Maschine Mikro will stay unlit but you can enter MIDI mode with SHIFT + the Maschine logo, then it will light up.

Micro MK3 is only active in Maschine SW, or in KK or your DAW when there's an active channel with Machine Machine VST loaded.

Once you've done that - all works as you would expect. Set the midi input to Machine if it doesn't do so automatically, and you're good to go.

Are you sure? I don't have a Mikro anymore but from what I remember it behaved like all other controllers as in: It would still stay ON but in MIDI Mode (or stand by) if the Maschine app is not open, if so, something is not right with his setup/hw...

Much better answer there (I don't have mine plugged in usually), but yeah, standby is more approriate - but that's what I meant by active.
