Just experienced the ‘long white flashing pads’ after updating my backup sd card with my latest expansions, as Maschine Central wasn’t on that one yet.

After shutting down the M+ and reinserting my primary sd card, I’ve booted the Maschine again. All pads turned white for a period of time, and after that my entire library seemed gone.

I had to press SHIFT + RESCAN multiple times before the little icon kept spinning and all library items reappeared, as they were still correctly installed on the sd card. It took quite a while to rescan the entire library, every expansion pack started showing up one by one.

Did a couple of restarts, shutdown entirely, disconnected the psu, waited for 2 minutes, plugged it in again, and started the M+ again… everything seems to be normal again.

@Chris_NI: Is this expected behavior when switching cards? Of course with the M+ turned off.

I thought Replika XT was in the cards for this update, it doesn’t show up for me even though I own it in desktop. Is it not available? I dig the new FX but Replika in standalone would be amazing!

I get crashes if I try to switch sample rate on my Motu 828 from Maschine hardware.

is it software update through WiFi only or is it also a firmware so I need to connect to laptop with usb cable?

There is no latency compensation, do you mean buffer size?

I thiking that MaikR is talking about PDC - Plugin Delay Compesation.

    https://archive.steinberg.help/cubase_pro_artist/v9/en/cubase_nuendo/topics/audio_effects/audio_effects_plugin_delay_compensation_c.html

Maschine doesn't have PDC, which can cause sync problems on channels with heavy plugins.

Looks like software only update, firmware stays the same. But let's wait until topic with release info will be updated.

I think he means buffer size for external interfaces, lower the buffer, lower the interface latency, but that isn't latency compensation, maybe they secretly added PDC? would be a surprise though, because it isn't in v3, and is unlikely to be added any time soon.

    No PDC AFAICT

    Glad it finally dropped!

I hope we get some sort of way to "downgrade" our M+'s to this version of the OS if M 3 turns out to be a disaster on the M+..

New FX are very welcome! Just need to buy the licenses to these.. When is NI Summer Of Sound starting this year? ;)

Check well if ALL the things you have installed are really there.

I had a similar issue some time ago (of course unrelated to the new update) and every time I turned M+ on/off or tried to rescan the results were different…more expansions appearing, different expansions appearing,… (like for at least 15 times).

See some of my posts in this thread:

Btw: thanks to you and the others for already reporting back about the new experience

But like where is the list of new plugins compatible with maschine+? People are talking about them and say you have to buy them but I cant find official details about the update anywhere.

That was never officially mentioned, was it. A creative delay would be nice though. But it’s probably rather Replika than Replika XT to save some CPU cycles.
