More information on future updates M+

Compatibility wasn’t advertised as NI-only.
But I don’t want to start that same discussion over and over again. NI should keep their promises and deliver, communicate and support there products, not just selling stuff.
Look at this forum or topic, no updatea or replies of the responsible team whatsoever. And no, I don’t expect 24x7.

With a fix for that update somewhere around February or so…

Then you'll be better off with another product

I would love to see more than 8 inputs usable when I have a 32 input interface connected and midi program change.

in the meantime they did another announcement where they promise again updates for maschine... I've just ordered an akai mpc one if i like the workflow I'll sell the maschine and probably most of the expansions and bye bye ni. main reason for going with maschine where the amazing instruments on the desktop version but most of them don't work on m+ anyway.

I have already 1+ and Studio2 - learning them. Amazing things.

hi can i ask you something that is not clear anywhere?
the live2 and the one+ have the same software packages or you get more expansions and instruments with the live2?
i am thinking to get the one mainly for the size but i change my mind if there is more sw included with the live

Hey man, there are some slightly differences between MPC 1+ and Studio 2 so I guess Live 2 have another expansion package.

Studio 2:
BTW I recommend to you and anybody to get this Maschine expansion anyway:
Amazing for House Heads - my fav. So many cool grooves! And it's so cheap now!

Not even a penny, until they’ve fixed the M+ firmware. @Simon_NI completely neglected every comment about Maschine Plus in his June update. Just like his team won’t respond to any questions (or this thread).
I’m not interested in ‘new later-this-year-promises’ about the development of the desktop version or other products, as long as the standalone isn’t fixed or kept compatible. I think we have to accept… the M+ is dead.

Promises on Maschine… but no word on the M+.

This situation emphatically demonstrates that you can't rely on just one service/software provider, that you need to learn something in reserve and tie in with those who provide solutions and support them correctly. I love Maschine and will try to squeeze as much as possible out of this system, but I am preparing for different scenarios. ;-)

True, especially when a company becomes too large and development isn’t connected to the customers anymore (or not allowed to communicate without approval by management or multiple departments), which can also be used as an excuse.
Sometimes things aren’t moving as planned, but not informing your loyal customers is rude behavior.
Smaller companies like Polyend also make mistakes, but their lead developers stay in contact through their community forum. Open to criticism or feedback and acting upon it.
The first time @Kai_NI apologized for not following up or replying to my questions it was okay with me, but after the latest quarterly update and the silent treatment I’m done with NI as a company. Especially as @Simon_NI doesn’t step in to clarify things for us users.
Besides everything on my profile I’m using a other NI products, the advanced Ozone suite of software, and more from partners like U-he etc.. But I cannot rely on such a parent company, as everything depends more and more on centralized support and an unreliable Native Access app and authorization service, too. As long as they’re not willing to do better, I’ll avoid them as much as possible… no (more) vendor lock-in for me. Lesson learnt.

I heard a rumor there will be a feature update for Maschine+..... in two thousand years when the firmware is discovered in a deep archive and resurrected by a tech-archaeologist.
In other words, don't hold your breath.

Sadly agree.. For controlling synths like the ASM Hydrasynth I use a Synthstrom Deluge (only because M+ lacks basic MIDI support such as program change and aftertouch, whereas the Delly is great with MIDI and MPE), for serious orchestral and piano sounds I take out the Akai Force… But I'd love using only the Maschine+ if I could
