UVI promotion

I am curious about this new UVI promotion. I wonder if these libraries are downloadable and licensable through Native Access, and not the UVI's portal.

I like their libraries but their portal is very slow and the authorization is not not so good.

NI is much better at this and I would probably get this if it went through NI and not UVI.

Wonder if these UVI products are prepped for NKS 2?

The offer blurb does say you access the UVI products through the UVI portal. What auth problems do you have? Pretty sure my UVI stuff auth'd using iLok and it was relatively straightforward.

I was hoping so but looks like just NKS for now. I’m not complaining though!

No they are available to everyone - I couldn't find them at first either because they are a bit hidden away

So far it's just the ones in the bundle it seems, but Falcon etc have been available for some time courtesy of Jason @ Freelancesoundlabs.com and most of the FX were already available in the NKS user library (in fact I'm just completing work on the last couple)

It's great UVI are moving across the NKS2 platform, and was looking to christening my new S61 MK3 keyboard today with Emulation II+.

Although I can scroll through the library, it looks like the parameters showing in the NI K S61 Mk3 aren't mapped to the plugin and you have to map these manually to gain control to its GUI. Has anyone else noticed this?

And side note, come on Korg make the Legacy Collection NKS2 compatible😋

Are you using this with UVI Workstation?

Yes. I own products in Vintage Vault 4 and purchased Synth Anthology 4 separately on release. All software is up to date from UVI (including NKS installers from the UVI Portal) and NI including S MK3 firmware. And Windows 10 is also up to date.

I open Komplete Kontrol (KK), in S61 MK3 I select UVI brand> select Emulation II+ and it then opens in KK using UVI Workstation. Twiddling the knobs on S61 MK3 changes nothing i.e. no movement of related parameters in Emulation II+ GUI or a change in sound. If I open up the option to assign knobs in KK I can see the knobs animating above the GUI but still no change to sound. I have to manually map each parameter for it to work. Synth Anthology 4 works ok. Not tried FM Suite yet.

I have contacted UVI to see if they are aware of an issue with Emulation II+.

OK I can't replicate this with Ircam Prepared Piano 2 or Shade, which are the only ones I have from the recent promotion that has UVI built NKS (the rest I have as NKS are either by myself or Freelance Soundlabs)

So maybe this is just specific to Emulator?

Thanks for taking the time out to help.

Looks like FM suite isn't mapped either. I've tried installing the NKS files for both FM Suite and EmulationII+ again and then rebooted PC, but no joy. I can only scroll through the presets. Synth Anthology 4 has everything mapped.

I'll see wait UVI's response is.

I'm just happy being able to scroll through the presets and tag my favourites for now. And keeping fingers crossed for Falcon to become NKS compatible, I think that will please many people if that happens.

Thanks for taking time out to try and help. Appreciated.👍️

FM Suite isn't properly mapped either. I've installed the NKS installers again for FM Suite and Emulation II+ but still no joy. Synth Anthology 4 works fine.

I will wait and see what UVI says, at least I can audition and favourite the presets which is a positive. And here's hoping they make Falcon compatible. That will be a huge positive for UVI.

You could always use the ones from Freelance - I'm sure their mappings will be more comprehensive anyway and they cover Falcon as well

Sorted. On advice of UVI I had to uninstall FM Suite and EmulationII+, reboot, install and reboot again on Windows PC and mapping between S MK3 and plug-in now works.
