I guess most of the "basics" people expect / know from other samplers like serato sample, ableton simpler, mpc live 2. Some of them are not available in maschine and that's why it feels outdated. I think I would try to find out what belongs to these expected "basic functionalities" before innovating. Except you have something completely groundbreaking in your sleeves.

Plugin delay compensation for the maschine mk3 software in general and the ability to switch between non compensated in general or for recording. Similar like Ableton's "reduced latency when recording for selected".

People try to use zero latency plugins as much as possible because of that. There are even threads in this forum with lists advising which plugins to use.

Just be aware, the more delay compensation there is without reduced latency for recording, the more realtime playability is lost due to increasing latency.

Stereo / Mono: There‘s my Stereo Utility Reaktor Ensemble in the Reaktor User Library which is compatible with the M+. It does what you ask for and more.

@Kai_NI It would be cool if NI could turn that into a more CPU friendly internal effect.

I would like to see two new featureA when using or making drum patterns:

1. phase flip - would be a nice thing to do in Maschine, not in DAW.
2. Transient detection - drag sample, detect where it starts and move on

An easier way to delete unused recordings from a project to prevent them from blowing up in size.

Mono mode, MPE compatible, dedicated automation lanes with accurate pencil nodes for values, not a glitchy step value mode.

In Sampler Zone:

Looping:

• Being able to adjust loop start/end points then have the means to scan through the sample to find the perfect loop.
• Having two separate loops. One for the section of the sample you want to loop and another for the release section of your sample.
• Having a consolidate sample option to merge two or more samples into one.

Audio PlugIn:

• Being able to make use of vintage sampler mode with Audio PlugIn

Konsidered

1 ) Round robin

2) Note off / release trigger.

3) Auto map from file name, or if not, SFZ support.

4) Adjust loop points +/- 1 sample (as found in Kontakt)

5) Batch find missing samples

Both 1 and 2 will bring parity with the current MPC engine at least (and it’s always been odd that a drum focused instrument doesn’t support RR).

Hi , I am late for discussion or not but I use Sampler in my Music Production, actually I do everything in Maschine ( started as a challenge ) i would like to have at least 3 different starting points for making Granular type of FX but I found different much longer way to do it. With different starting points separate pitch for every start point would be even better.

Not sure if this is the right subcategory but would be great if we could use a computer keyboard to record patterns without having to use something like VMPK. For me, I use Serato for sampling and this along with VMPK gives me access to all 32 sample slots without needing an external keyboard. Obviously in Maschine I can only access 16 pads at a time.

Time stretching like Ableton. Although Maschine has time stretching it doesn’t allow you to refine small parts to fit with the timing of all the other elements of your track. It would be wicked if you had the ability to select a section from a track and drop it into your workflow, just like you can in Traktor then loop etc.
