Sampler improvements

Speaking of the autosampler:
The use case I'd love to use is routing a synth into maschine, through effects and into the multisampler. We can set this up logically (i.e. pointing the sampler to the pad with incoming signal), but it doesn't work. It seems like maschine disables midi output when pointing at an internal pad.

First thing: I find myself using Serato Sample inside of Maschine a lot because it's just so much easier to do stuff like:
-Easily changing tempo and pitch independently, especially PER chop. You can take any individual chop, easily time stretch or key shift that chop. Reverse, filter, change the attack/release on each chop.
-Key detection
-Stem separation
-dynamic beat grids/warping for samples that aren't perfectly quantized
-ability to import .mp3's
-play the sample chop like an instrument with keyboard mode. (I know Maschine has this, but it doesn't time-stretch throughout the keyboard automatically like Serato)
The current workaround of going into the Audio Unit, adjusting tempo/pitch of a loop, resampling, then chopping is tedious and limited in comparison. So I'd also agree that combining the Sampler and Audio Unit would make sense.
Second thing: I'll second @darkwaves that the Sampling Zone section is SO full of useful potential, but so underserved, and a nightmare to use. Like he said, it doesn't need to be Kontakt but it needs to be easier to load samples (or loops!) into zones, and then give us more control over individual sample zones - like the ability to mute them, routing/envelopes, features from the sampler module, etc. Just imagine this possibilities..! With groups containing 16 sounds....and EACH sound having an entire keyboard worth of sample zones slots available.....if it were easier to use and access, easier to quickly assign samples to zone slots, and had more control, you could, say, put all of your drum hits for your entire set into ONE sound slot. And easily fit several full songs or an entire hour-long set of music just in one group!

- Random Cycle and Round Robin on a sound
- Real Time-Stretch
- Key detection
- Lowpass and highpass filter
- More options (envelope, filter, reverse) on each slice in the zone window
- Render in place
22 -
*Gain or Outputvolume
*A second (or more) LFOs + Envelopes
*More modulation destinations for the LFOs and Envelopes (Env to LFO, Gain/Output, Filter Resonance, SR + others for weird experiments)
*HP / LP Filter
*Tilt Filter
*LFO Slew (Attack time for LFO)
*Curves/Slopes for all Attack, Decay and Release Parameters
*Mono, Left Channel, Right Channel Option
*Possibility to turn off Keytracking
*Round Robin

Time stretching modes similar to those offered by SP404mk2 or Serato, without having to convert samples to audio files and have to make calculations based on track length, etc. This is a huge miss on Maschine. We need to be able to change the pitch of a sample without affecting the playback speed and vice versa, in a much workflow integrated manner.

hi everybody.
1.-I would like to have a slice switch knob, I cut 16 slices or more and it is possible to switch between them using an encoder.
2 - sampling simultaneously from several selected channels in the maschine
3 -
Batch resave ala Kontakt & Battery for groups, sounds, & 3rd Party/User Expansion packs
Round Robin
2 -
ARA support. i have to use sonar (yes, platinum lifetime.. what a joke) to work with vocal. for me this is the main feature the maschine's audio lacks.

- Round Robin
- Latching
- Note Off Sample

1: Meging of audio/sampler modules. Stretching algorithm is great for loops but is desperately needed on a per slice basis
2: stereo to mono!
3: option to preserve sample tempo in keyboard mode is also a must
4: larger variety of filters and modulation slots
17 -
All above:
1) Like others have said - merge Sampler/Audio functionality
2) Automatic key detection when .wav added to sampler/audio
3) Be able to hear pitch up/down changes of sample chop on the fly (and being able to change at any time) - rather than the current workflow of guessing what it may sound like at different tempo/applying/listening/deciding it's not right/undoing/and guessing a 2nd/3rd time (following the steps above until you get it right)
4) Be able to export individual/each sample chop as a separate audio file (on my computer, in my chosen destination folder). I mean the actual individual chop length (no silence before/after).

Granular sampling capabilities / Expanded modulation options
I would love to see more "granular" related modulation options added to sampler OR a new granular sampler device if it comes to that. How? An extra LFO, loopable envelope (with smoothing/slew options), and widening the list of modulatable parameters, i.e loop points, loop position, lfo speed/amount, as modulation destinations. This intersects heavily with other user responses here for expanded modulation options.
Taking a page from the Mutable Instruments Shruthi modulation menu setup... with 10 modulation slots and 2 operator slots. Modulation is controllable / configurable on the Shruthi with two menus of four controls.
[Modulation Slot #] [source] [destination] [amount]
[Operator Slot #] [source 1] [source 2] [operation]
On the shruthi, turning the knob corresponding with the modulation slot control knob or the operator slot would scroll through the slots, info for each one displayed as you scrolled through.
operators applied to modulation were very useful on the shruthi; two modulation signals go in, perform some configurable defined math/logic operation or scaling, and the resulting modulation signal could then be sent to modulation destinations.

TBH I don't like time-streching algoritm, i know that is not easy to develop and implement new one but i think it need some tweaks. On M+ especially.

+1 for 'Real Time-Stretch' / pitch shift : playing samples across the keyboard, without them getting longer (lower pitch) or shorter (higher pitch)
Also, I'd love to have the sampling function memorize its input source setting PER GROUP.
So that I don't need to change this input source setting everytime I switch instruments for looping. (e.g. from guitar to mic)

My only request is realtime pitch/stretch. I want to be able to switch the pitch without the sample speeding up at the same time. This alone will put the M+ in a league of its own!
