Every piece of music made with Maschine starts with a pattern. The Sequencer (or Pattern Editor) is where your musical ideas come to life.

In the area of sequencing and note editing, what are the features that you miss the most?

Explode - makes new tracks for all note pitches inside clip/pattern, good to devide drum groups.
Racks for effects and possibilite to save them indenpendly
Easier random and variation mode - current is clunky and hard to understand

Independent sequence lengths in Pattern (think polymeters/polyrhythms) for each Sound in Group.
Option to include Pattern chains on a Group level and to be able to load them with a Group.

What I'd like to see the most in the pattern editor is some changes in quantization:

The quantization of the notes' endings so by clicking one button we could make the notes not overlap so that one note ends when another begins in the pattern editor
More quantization values (not only 50% or 100%)

I have no other ideas but I'm sure that other users will share some interesting thoughts.

Adding in a “Capture” mode/button into Maschine like Ableton Live has. A feature that recalls midi that was played when the user wasn’t recording. Also, making the piano roll easier to work in would be huge. It’s extremely hard, limiting, and difficult to work just because of its UI alone. There’s no right click functions, note auditioning when a note is clicked in, etc.

The broad categorization into 5 areas makes me a bit nervous that two highly important issues might be overlooked. I don't view them primarily as ui improvements, but rather, MIDI capabilities supported by the underlying engine (but of course, these MIDI messages would also need to be recorded and editable in some way).

That is, Maschine should support (a) polyphonic aftertouch to control vsts (like Massive X) via an external controller (like the Hydrasynth or the new KK mk3 keyboards), and (b) supporting plugins to output midi in the FX chain (e.g., midi sequencer plugins).

It would be great to hear whether this is on your radar. AFAIK any other DAW except Maschine can do this, so (from a user's perspective) these feel very basic.

I'd like to see some more midi editing functions. See the logical editor in Cubase. I'd particularly like the option to dissolve a pattern by notes.

I've not used maschine on my desktop in a while. When I did, I'd always wish there was a quick way to remove patterns that were not assigned to any scenes. I'd also wish it were easier to tell when I had a pattern in multiple scenes or when I've used a scene in multiple sections. I'd end up making changes without realizing it was a shared object.

I wish setting a scale on a pad gave an option to snap incoming midi to that scale. Note repeat and the arp could also have an option to act on incoming midi.

I want to be able to punch a pattern into the step sequencer and save it as a custom note-repeat pattern.

Per-step probability, parameter locks, and conditional triggers in an easy-to-use fashion would take thing up several notches!

Let to introduce the Maschine inside of Traktor Pro 3 as a plugin in a channel number 5 or even in an existent (for example number 4).

The main purpose is to use the step sequencer of Maschine with all its own posibilities without depending of Ableton Link.

I am talking about the software or even the Maschine+.

I would love the variation mode to be modular. I should be able to toggle if I want timing adjustments, velocity adjustments or both. As of right now if I want to add more variation to my timing. I'm forced to override my custom velocities.

I suppose this would be the sequencer. There are often times when I wish I could just hold a note. A sustain pedal work for me usually, but I wish there was a toggle for hold.

Not sure where to put this suggestion, but I wish we had the possibility of saving fx chains on either sounds or groups, or even on the master track for mastering fx chains.

1.- switching patterns regardless of the scenes, I mean that you set a certain structure when switching patterns in a group. it would help a lot when playing live. FOR EXAMPLE: the pattern finishes playing and switches to the next one, the pattern when switching starts from the beginning, the pattern when switching remains in the same time period but on a different pattern (in principle, as it is now)

2. - to bind the look to specific groups, it would also help it would be interesting to use this function in a live game. I uploaded the group to the project and by default it already has a set of its own look - it would be very convenient

3- add a percentage of playback of a certain step in the sequencer (as on elektron or in ableton) this is an incredibly convenient feature that I would like to see in maschine and plus

4- ecording in the mute sequencer - it seems to me that it would not be a bad technique to create fast and diverse patterns

The piano roll needs an overhaul. I love capturing ideas with Maschine, but the pain of editing midi makes me lose momentum and switch to other platforms.

There should be an option to hear the notes as you move events on the piano roll (see FL Studio for an example).

The current piano roll is small and tedious to work with. It would be great if we could make the piano roll larger on desktop. Provide a full-screen option or the ability to grab the pane and resize it. Larger keys with note names on them would be cool too.
