Curating a Story in Setlist / Playlist

I have learned how to create a strong playlist that maintains a continuous flow and builds energy through techniques like subtly increasing the BPM.

Now, I am interested in learning how to modify playlists in a way that takes the listener on a journey. I want different sections of the playlist to represent different parts of a story. For example, starting with a setting like an early morning Batida de Lisboa Portugal, then transitioning to the next section that has a feeling of "connection", and finally reaching a climax that represents internal love, etc. I'm just brainstorming themes, but I'm curious about examples of how other DJs, curators, and creatives have seen or accomplished this. What is your process?
