I've had both for a while but have struggled to understand the mapping settings within Traktor and how to correctly match them up with the cue buttons and dials on the Red Beat any sound advice on how it works?
I'm afraid there is no mapping (yet) for your device, since it doesn't exist not even in the DJTechTools site... they have mappings for many Vestax devices but not yours...
However, keep an eye on this site, hopefully sooner or later someone will make one
"Vestax Red Beat" is this the full device name? I can't find much about it.
Kinda looks like an external mixer from pictures I found?
Anyhow, if it speaks midi, then follow one of the many youtube tutorials on mapping for traktor.
