Windows can't find the .exe's that Native Access installed

Hi, I have been really happy with my Traktor S4 and NI's software until recently.
Now, when I install or update an app, it will tell me the activation failed BUT I CAN USE IT ANYWAY.
When I open the Controller Editor, it tells me the file doesn't exist on my machine even though I clicked on the exact file specified in the error message. This happened with Traktor too until I did a full reinstall. Unfortunately a full reinstall did not fix anything for the Controller Editor. I have done a proper uninstall and cleaning any residual files, so I'm running out of options. I can still open all the other files that came with the programs by the way, just not the executable.
What's going on and what can I do about it?

Have you tried running apps as an Admin both when installing and using the app ? Also what version of Native Access are you using ? And is it correct that you are using Windows 11 ?
It could be a user access problem one way or the other.

I suppose this is a bug, since the message is telling you “Product not owned”. Since it is in your Native Access and being it a free program, this is not possible.
Only thing I can suggest you is to try to install a previous version from this page and not from NA.
Probably something went wrong lately by updating it. Seeing 2 releases in 2 days (16.09 and 18.09) it’s quite strange…maybe they had to fix something urgently. And maybe they didn’t fix it completely

@Leucis It looks like you are using a very old version of Native Access that might not work correctly to install or activate newer products or software. You can download and install the latest version here: https://www.native-instruments.com/en/specials/native-access-2/
And yes, run it as admin.

@PoorFellow If I don't run the program as admin I don't even get an error. The program will straight up not open.
I just switched to NA2 and the issue persists although I'm no longer told that I don't have a license.
I am on W11, yes.

@Jeremy_NI Thank you I have changed to NA2 now. Unfortunately this fixed nothing except that I'm no longer told that I don't own a license.

@Jeremy_NI actually nevermind. I now have MORE problems because it won't even let me uninstall Control Panel anymore 😂
